Tasting Notes
Bright mid red. Smoky/toasty blackberry, liquorice fruit with ripe tannins that are also crisp on the finish. This vegan friendly Cabernet Sauvignon includes small percentages of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot and was aged 12 months in French barriques. Family owned family managed Ashbrook planted their first vines in 1975 in Wilyabrup, considered by aficionados as the premier sub-region of Margaret River. The pioneering Devitt Family – now into its third generation as winegrowers – released their first commercial vintage in 1979 and continues to only produce wines from their own vineyards
Pairings
Enjoyable on its own and delicious with stir-fried and roast pork and chicken dishes (Tandoori too). Beef and steak. And braised and roast duck, and lamb dishes. Pairs very well also with braised doufu and mushroom dishes
