Tasting Notes
Light bright straw colour with a green tinge. Fragrant citrus including grapefruit and limes with a spring onion spiciness. Very fresh. A blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, SAGA R was created in 1999 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, proprietor of Pauillac First Growth Chateau Lafite Rothschild which their ancestor Baron James de Rothschild purchased on 8 August 1868 at a public auction in Paris. (Fifteen years earlier in 1853, his English cousin Baron Nathaniel de Rothchild had purchased Chateau Brane-Mouton which was later renamed Mouton Rothschild)
