Wolf Blass Gold Label Regional Reserve Langhorne Creek & McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

S$42.28

Tasting Notes

Blackcurrant cassis and blackberry fruit of intensity with a liquorice aspect. Ripe, rich, long tannins add to the structure of this Cabernet which was aged in French and American oak. Born 90 years ago in 1934 in Germany, Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass ran away from school as a boy to which his parents gave an uitimatum: start a 3-year winemaking apprentice or get back to school! Wolf, aka Wolfie, later became the youngest person ever to graduate with a Masters in Oenology from Veitschoechheim-Wuerzber in South East Germany. In 1961, he emigrated to the Barossa Valley, South Australia
